About Resonator Guitars
Resonator guitars have always been popular in Blues, Country and Bluegrass genres. Resonators sound as distinctive as they look, providing a large metallic tone. They are often played using a bottleneck slide as they work well together. Resonators are acoustic guitars but the metal construction and unique sound they produce sets them apart.
Some models, such as the Gretsch G9230, have bodies that are made partly of wood but have the metal 'resonator cone' section. Others, like the Ozark Steel Body Resonator have completely metal bodies. Although not seen as regularly as acoustic or electric guitars, many musicians still choose to include a resonator in their music.
Whether it's to add some vintage flavour to a song or take your music in a new direction, a resonator could be just what you're after.
Why Should I Choose a Resonator Guitar?
- Authentic vintage style tones
- Stunning deco inspired designs
- Great for blues and country playing
