- "2 Track Recording" - Record your performances to listen to yourself play. Convenient for piano lessons.
Perfect for beginning students and experienced players alike, the ARIUS YDP-141 provides true piano sound and feel. The GHS keyboard with matte black keytops and 3-level AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling voices deliver remarkably authentic sound and natural expressiveness, making it a true joy to play, both in practice and in performance. Moreover, the damper pedal includes a half-damper effect, giving you nuanced expressive control over the sustained sound. Dual voice capability lets you play two different instrument sounds at the same time, while a 2-track song recorder allows you to capture your original musical ideas and performances.
The piano sound is sampled from the Yamaha Full Concert Grand Piano "CFIIIS", which has won high plaudits all over the world. Yamaha emphasizes the natural sounds that should emanate from pianos. Sampling is carefully performed over a long period, from the birth of note, to it's faded end. Creating a natural sound and attenuation that feels nothing like an electronic piano. In addition, Yamaha also focus on the change in timbre due to the strength or weakness of the key strike that is an endemic characteristic of pianos. Sound sampling covers more than 10 stages of key strike strength for each keyboard.
The "Tone Escape" outlet for sound coming from the back of the keyboard has been widened, resulting in the piano sound becoming clearer as is the volume increase. Maximum polyphony is 128 notes. Yamaha also focuses on the expressive power of pedaling. Three stable pedals are mounted, including the damper, the soft pedal, and sostenuto. The damper pedal offers a half-pedal response. The damper can handle micro-adjustments of its strength, depending on how hard the pedal is pressed.
By utilising years of experience building acoustic pianos, Yamaha has created a digital piano that feels in everyway like the real thing. The Arius responds to slight differences in touch, with the low sound regions of the grand piano being heavy to the touch, while the high sound regions become steadily lighter. With stability and endurance in response to any kind of performance, it offers the comfort and quality expected of Yamaha keyboards.
The Yamaha volume control knob allows for particularly detailed adjustment at low volume levels. When practicing at home where playing at high volume may not be possible, you can set the optimum sound volume. Because it is an electronic piano with no need for tuning, it is maintenance-free. The Yamaha YDP comes with two headphone terminals to enable practice without fear of anti-social behaviour orders. So parent and child can enjoy lessons or piano duets even with Muting on.
