Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (3 reviews)

The V7 is not a forgiving mic, but it's also not a woolly mush like the SM58 standard when eaten by the average singer. There is some proximity effect, and a fairly narrow zone of sensitivity, with a high degree of clarity and articulation. It's not ideal in situations where two singers share a mic, but this has benefits when dealing with wannabe singers muscling in when the stage is the accessible pub floor - the singer is able to keep their level well above anyone coming in from the side. It's an excellent recording mic. My club now uses four in order to have matched mics, and bought these rather than upgrade just two mics to SM58 Beta and mix them with older SM58s that lack the transparency and clarity needed. https://www.flickr.com/photos/202186083@N06/54527794888/in/album-72177720326192841 (photo by Crispin Rodwell)
