What we say:
At A Glance:
This stunning Martin Custom Shop 000 with Spruce top and Sinker Mahogany back and sides is an exclusive to the UK & Ireland, this group of 'Sinker' mahogany guitars from Martin are quite special!
Crafted from century old mahogany, recovered from a riverbed in Central America, these guitars have been designed with the intention of achieving the sound and feel of 'Golden Age' Martins with no artificial processing. Built in very limited numbers due to the rarity of the wood used, these guitars won't be hanging around so if you like what you see, make sure to act on it now!
This group of instruments are also personally signed by Chris Martin IV himself!
Features We Love:
Sinker Mahogany
Said by Martin to have been logged between the years of 1880 and 1920 (at which point the timber would have already been 100+ years old), the mahogany used to create these guitars has been sitting at the bottom of a riverbed in Belize, Central America. Having been preserved by the river, the wood has now been recovered in an eco-friendly fashion using sonar, boats, and scuba gear. Once recovered, the wood is left to dry naturally with no torrefaction happening. The idea behind this process is to achieve the tonality and feeling of 'Golden Age' Martin instruments with no artificial treatment and we think they've done just that!
Custom Shop Build
Martin has poured it's highest quality workmanship into this instrument, from the specially selected woods, to the construction and meticulous details.
You know you are getting an instrument that not only looks absolutely gorgeous, but also sounds and plays like a dream.
