Made For The Stage
Designed for life on the stage, the new control layout has given way to complex menus in favour of easy to find and understand parameters on the control surface. As well as the simple control layout, the whole unit is particularly lightweight at only 7.1kg, making transportation easier than ever! The build quality is also geared towards life on the road, the YC61 has been developed to withstand the rough conditions on tour without taking damage.
Authentic Sound
To achieve the natural organ sound typical of classic drawbar organs, the YC61 sound engine has been specifically designed for this model. Based on proprietary Virtual Circuitry Modeling technology (VCM), the engineers at Yamaha have managed to recreate the exact behaviour of all the transistors and resistors of tonewheel and drawbar circuits. Attention to detail results in exceptional organ sounds, and with the ability to adjust each sound, the sound creation possible is virtually unlimited!
True Organ Feel
Organ sounds are iconic, but as with every instrument, it always depends on the player's performance. Offering fantastic tools for great performance, the Waterfall keyboard has been designed from the ground up. Just the right amount of resistance for a great playing feel, optimised drawbars for haptic feedback, LED indicators for each independent drawbar's position, the artist always has a clear view of what's going on, and feels great when playing.
