History speaks for itself. The ES-335 is one of the most important guitars of all time. Right from its introduction in 1958 as the world’s first semi-hollowbody electric guitar it has been a mainstay of players eager to balance the gorgeous, round, mellow tones perfect for jazz and blues with the edge and sustain of a full-blooded solidbody.

Condition Report

At guitarguitar, we award our used gear a grade from 1-5 according to its overall condition, with 5 being the best.

This item was appraised as follows:

Body: 4 out of 5 - Item shows some mild and/or minor signs of use such as superficial swirling or hazing to the finish. There are no substantial dings, dents or scuffs which break the finish

Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.

Additional Information:The Guitar has been fitted with Montys Original PAF pickups and Montys Left Handed Wiring Harness. The original pickups are included in the case. For its age, the guitar is in great condition. It only has some swirly scratches and one bigger scratch on the back of the body but no major damage. There are a couple of patches where the finish is a bit hazy. The frets are in good condition with plenty of life left in them. The hardware has tarnished slightly.

This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
