The American Stratocaster was the flagship U.S. made guitar. Features included a modern "C" shaped neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, Fender-branded Schaller tuning machines with staggered post heights for better string tension, a 2-point synchronized tremolo with stainless steel saddles, and three American Series single-coil pickups.
