Craig Blundell Drum Clinic in Epsom on Mon 20th March

NEWS Published on 13 February 2017

Join us on Monday 20th March at 19:00 as we welcome virtuoso drummer Craig Blundell to guitarguitar Epsom. With tickets only £5 you can come and see him show us how drumming is changing, why electronic drums are so important now, and how they will benefit your practice and performance. He will be showing us around the whole Roland V-Drums series, including the new flagship TD-50KV!

Former Royal Marines Band Drummer, Craig Blundell is now one of the world’s most influential drummers and clinicians. He has recently been on tour with Steve Wilson, as the revered progger set out on a solo tour without the rest of his band Porcupine Tree. This has resulted in a nomination for Rhythm Magazine’s 2016 awards for ‘Best Prog Drummer.’

Even with an amazing grounding from the military in the rudiments of drumming, Craig is still one of the hardest working drummers around. His schedule would make any lesser man weep, and yet he still finds time to practice and improve both his technique and performance. This allows Craig to cover all the genres from Jazz to Electronic, Hip-hop to Thrash with relative ease. It’s just as well because he can be called into any situation at a moment’s notice, and be expected to play from a simple sketch-out of the music – just as he was when he was recently called in to record all the drums for the BBC Radio 2 jingles and segways.
