1) Guitar Sales Staff (Full-Time) - Epsom

OVERVIEW
Location: Epsom, UK 

This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic salesperson to become part of the GUITARGUITAR family. In doing so, you will become a key member of our guitar sales team, assisting with all aspects of our customers' experience. Fundamental to this role is an ability to sell and demonstrate product knowledge to our existing and new customers. You will be working directly under the supervision of our Store Manager. 

A successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have previous sales experience, working within a target based environment
  • Have a good understanding of guitars and guitar related equipment
  • Have the ability to demonstrate products to a good standard
  • Be confident dealing with customers face-to-face, on the telephone, email, and via social media
  • Be a team player, working with your colleagues to contribute towards the success of the store

Training will be provided to the successful candidate in any product areas that are required.

3) Front End Web Developer (HTML5, CSS3 & JS)

Overview

GUITARGUITAR, the UK's largest guitar retailer, want to recruit an experienced Front-End Web Developer to further strengthen its technology division. This is the ideal role for an enthusiastic person with a mixture of web development and design skills to play a key role.

The ideal candidate would have a solid experience of implementing visual designs using HTML5/CSS3/JS within a .NET MVC environment. They must have a portfolio demonstrating previous design and development work across the private or public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute in designing & developing our e-commerce platform, with intuitive functionality for our online customers
  • Work closely with our internal strategic teams to develop tools to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of our business
  • Contribute to key development decisions within the company

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years commercial web development experience
  • Leading knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, Razor, .NET MVC Framework
  • Good understanding of front end development across multiple browsers and mobile
  • Be able to work as part of a team and to demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adopt an MVC methodology with an understanding of scalable and reusable code
  • The ability to work independently and be capable of visualising alternate solutions and make educated decisions
  • Be able to participate in project reviews and evaluations, giving feedback, ideas and concepts in support of the company’s development.
  • Good experience championing good web design practices and secure code

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Angularjs, Umbraco or DNN
  • A computer science degree, college diploma, or similar is preferred but not required if the candidate can demonstrate equivalent commercial experience
