Classic Synth's on the Road: Hands on with the Roland JUPITER Xm
Published on 30 June 2021
Roland's synths are nothing short of legendary. Ingrained in the blood of popular music, the brand's keys have become some of the most sought after on the market. In recent years, vintage sound enthusiasts have had a lot to get excited about as Roland began to work through their incredible history, re-releasing some of their most iconic synthesizers. One of the most exciting was the rebirth of the JUPITER in its JUPITER Xm format. Expanding on the capabilities of the '80s classic, the JUPITER Xm allows you to draw from Roland's incredible legacy and brings sounds from the likes of the JUPITER-8, JUNO-106, and SH-101 back to life, along with a wealth of other options. It's really blown us away since it was launched so we were keen to dig in further and give you all the chance to check it out.
How to Tune In
On the 22nd of July at 1:00PM, our local Roland boffin Mark Hill will be taking over our Facebook live stream and breaking down the power of the JUPITER Xm. Whether you're a synth geek or just a general noise maker, this is well worth tuning into as he'll be showcasing its iconic sounds and discussing the history of its now legendary older counterpart. Let's face it, music sounds better when the madness of synthesis is involved so join us, ask Mark any questions you have and enjoy getting stuck into one of the most important synths on the planet.
