Alvarez MDA70 Dreadnought
Manufacturer's ID: MDA70
What we say:
Alvarez acoustic guitars began life in St Louis, Missouri in 1965 by master luthier Kazuo Yairi. A well known guitar brand in the States, many top players like David Crosby, Thom Yorke, Devin Townsend and Any DiFranco have proudly toted Alvarez guitars live and in the studio.
Nowadays most Alvarez guitars are made to exacting standards in China and distributed all over the world, bringing traditional building techniques, understated good looks and high quality control into the hands of players of all descriptions.
From the revered Alvarez Masterworks stable comes this refined and beautiful Dreadnought.
The top of this MDA70 is made from solid AA Sitka Spruce whilst the back and sides are made from solid East Indian Rosewood. This helps impart a most impressive and complex tone, full of brightness, rich midrange and strong presence. All styles sound great on this guitar! Spruce and Indian Rosewood are considered amongst the very best tonewood combinations for dreadnoughts and listening to this guitar, the point is well-made.
Acacia & Paua Abalone binding and inlay work offer subtle yet upmarket looks to accompany the gorgeous Natural gloss finish. The Mahogany neck has a semi-gloss finish to make for supremely comfortable playing.
This wonderful dreadnought is an excellent choice for guitarists across the board.
