Fender’s Player Series is a fresh update of their most beloved models for today’s contemporary musician. The Player Series replaces the Mexican Standard Series and brings with it a host of exciting new features.

Each Player Series guitar features revised body shapes (bringing them in line with vintage bodies) new colours, a newly designed neck carve and upgraded pickups. Whatever style you play, you’ll be sure to find a favourite amongst the raft of new models available.

Fender’s Precision bass is perhaps the single most significant bass design in history. It all started here! This model, therefore, is a cornerstone of the Player series. This is the left-handed version.

The Player P-bass has subtle improvements over the previous Mexican Standard model, most clearly in the pickup. The new Player P-Bass pickup sounds fantastic, bringing that signature grunt ’n’ grind that the Precision is known for.

Fender have used Alnico 5 magnets for the split-coil pickup design: this model has a slightly hotter than vintage output for more modern styles. Just turn back the volume a little to bring out a more retro tone. Simple and effective, in the classic manner it has always been!

Fender have gone for their Modern ‘C’ neck profile here, twinned with a 9.5” radius fingerboard. Players of all styles can agree on these dimensions so it’s a good move to include them here. A standard scale length of 34” and 20 Medium Jumbo frets all keep things on familiar ground, too.

This great bass will be the cornerstone of many a player’s collection. The left-handed Fender Player Precision bass is an excellent choice for playing literally every musical style out there. The quality is great, as is the sound and feel.
