Jim Root Signature
As a member of one of the worlds biggest metal bands with an undoubtedly huge stage show, Jim required a guitar that was going to be roadworthy, look great and withstand a lot of punishment on stage without impacting his crushing tone. The result is a guitar with a weighty mahogany body, slick maple neck, locking tuners and a fixed bridge, giving the guitar incredible tuning stability, a huge tone and let's be honest, you don't need to be wearing a mask to look great with this guitar!
Jumbo Frets
Jumbo frets get their name from being taller and wider than standard frets, their size makes it easier to glide over the fretboard and bend notes, promoting fast riffing and blistering soloing.
Daemonum Pickups
The Jim Root signature Daemonum active humbuckers by EMG have been based heavily on his favourite EMG 81/60 set and combined with the EMG Retro Active design. The result is a set of vintage looking pickups with an open coil design that pack all of the power needed to tackle Slipknot's blistering music.
