About Fender American Original

The Fender American Original series takes over from the previous American Vintage Series. Bringing back replicas of famous Fenders from decades past, the American Original series celebrates the rich history and heritage of Fender. For example, the American Original 60s Stratocaster comes with Vintage 65 model pickups and a 60s C-shape neck with a round laminate Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish which seals the deal with real authenticity. Both guitars and Fender basses are included in this series.

Our Fender American Original guitars come included with a guitar hard case.

Question: What type of finishing is used on the Fender American Original series?
The American Original Series guitars and basses are all finished with nitrocellulose lacquer, a vintage-correct substance that leaves a very particular and attractive finish, feel and fragrance. Nitro guitars are considered more 'vintage' in overall vibe than those with polyurethane finishes.
