What we say:

At A Glance:

As part of their 400 series range, the Taylor 414ce-R takes quality and sound to a new level with the included V-Class bracing. The Grand Auditorium body size is Taylor's most popular and it is easy to see why due to the great tones on offer. The highly regarded ES2 pickup system takes care of the plug and play versatility. One thing that sets this particular model apart is the gorgeous rosewood back and sides, something not often found on a model like this. A cutaway makes it very player-friendly and suitable for a number of different styles.

Features We Love:

Quality Woods

The Indian rosewood back and sides are certainly a stand-out feature on this guitar. You know you are onto a winner when Mr Taylor himself classes it as one of the greatest tonewoods to use. While it gives a traditional look it also sounds rich and works incredibly well with the Sitka spruce top.

V-Class Bracing

Taylor's revolutionary bracing design allows the top wood of the acoustic to move more freely, producing an improved, louder sound with more sustain.

Expression System 2

This is widely recognised as one of the greatest acoustic pickup systems available. It translates every ounce of tone, detail and dynamic from your fingertips, strings and guitar wood. This gives the audience an accurate and fully realistic translation of your performance.

Who Is It For?

This tasteful premium acoustic guitar is great for any serious gigging musician or home player. It suits all styles of player plugged in or unplugged delivering both volume and detail for a variety of play styles.

Highlights:

  • Perfect for a number of different styles
  • Extremely versatile, especially in a live setting
  • A high end guitar that would be a great asset to any player

Condition Report

There is a very small ding on the back of the guitar.

Watching my son play this guitar is like watching him fall in love for the first time.

Superb guitar, well worth buying

If you like Taylor guitars you can’t help but be impressed with the 414. Great looks, great tone and the most comfortable neck in the business.

My purchase required a small tussrod adjustment to eliminate fret buzz and to set the correct action hight of the strings. Once this was corrected it sounds so pure and clear un-amplified. .and also used with an acoustic amp same again the clarity is brilliant.

Lovely Guitar better than I imagined!

Keith P. - 20/6/2021

Massive step up compared to my previous guitar. Very smooth sound, and carries the sound perfectly when sliding up and down the fret. Really easy to play.

Andrew S. - 24/12/2020

This is the most amazing sounding acoustic I?ve played. The sound is more scooped than the other woods on offer which does soften the mid range. But the low end is much better and it still sounds super bright. Not to mention the sheer playability - I haven?t been able to put her down!

Nicholas T. - 15/12/2020

Excellent sound, feel and ease of play. Beautifully finished. Great clarity, and made my poor playing sound better.

alaster d. - 18/10/2020

Haven't tried Taylor before. Reason for trying was down to viewing a video on YouTube. The guitar felt very comfortable to hold and play and the tone and quality of craftsmanship really surprised me.

George M. - 19/8/2020

Very very good!
