What we say:
Named after the hard-rocking location of Charvel’s original workshop, the San Dimas is perhaps their most famous creation. This ‘style 1’ loses the pickguard and has the pickups mounted directly to the body. Some would say that this factor increases tone, but the fact is, all of the guitars that Charvel currently make sound terrific!
This Pro Mod San Dimas is available in Trans Green Burst and has some amazing features. Let’s delve deeper!
First thing to note is the Quilted Maple top. This is a pretty stunning addition and gives the San Dimas a whole new identity.
The entire neck is a thing of wonder: reinforced with graphite rods, filled with jumbo frets and rolled at the edges, this is a playing surface to die for! The Charvel standard 12-16” compound radius fingerboard is perfect, too.
Premium, USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups are used in this machine. A JB in the bridge and a ’59 at the neck are a pair have proven themselves to be a most classic and versatile combination! They complement each other very well, and there is even a coil split in the volume knob for gaining access to single coil sounds! Make no mistake: there is nothing that cannot be accomplished by this Charvel San Dimas Style 1!
To many players, a Charvel is simply not a Charvel unless it has a Floyd Rose tremolo! Charvel do it properly with a heavy duty 1000 series model, recessed to provide a sleeker right hand playing experience.
This Charvel has playability for days, a selection of world-class tones and a fantastic look.
An ideal instrument for dazzling high-speed playing, the San Dimas® Style 1 HH FR M QM boasts scorching sound, stunning style and grin-inducing playing feel and performance. It features an alder body with quilt maple top and a bolt-on maple neck with a pair of graphite reinforcement rods to resist bending and warping under environmental stresses.
The speed neck profile is designed for lightning fast playing and completely unhindered position shifts while the comfortably rolled fingerboard edges provide the broken-in feel of an instrument with plenty of playing miles on it, and plenty more to go. Its 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard hosts 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays, and has a heel-mount truss rod wheel for quick and convenient neck relief tweaks.
High-output Seymour Duncan® JB and Seymour Duncan ‘59 humbucking pickups are directly mounted to the body, cranking out high octane rock ‘n’ roll tone with plenty of sweet overtones. The volume control conceals a push/pull coil split to have even more tonal variations on tap while the no-load tone control operates like a standard tone control from positions one through nine, removing itself from the circuit at position ten for transparent sound, letting the full natural voice of the guitar shine through. Dive to rumbling depths or add a well-placed rising harmonic without sacrificing your tuning with the Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system.
Designed with style in mind, the San Dimas Style 1 HH FR M QM comes in a fashionable Transparent Green Burst finish with chrome hardware.
