As a part of our continued growth we are looking for an experienced social media specialist to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing this key role has two main objectives; to expand on our activities and to improve our performance.

- Develop an integrated social media strategy for gg.
- Personally lead the implementation of this strategy and its ongoing activity.
- Review and renew our current ways of working and identify process and practices that will give us better results.
- Create and implement social media campaigns.
- Establish clear KPIs and set ambitious goals for the social media function.
- Measure the success of campaigns and identify learning points.
- Stay up-to-date with all social media practices and technologies and constantly review our approach and use of tools.
- Collaborate with others in the team and make all campaigns a successful team effort.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and other external organisations.
- Contribute to the wider marketing activities of the business.

The successful candidate is likely to have at least three years relevant experience in a similar role and have a good understanding of the products we sell.  You will have had some formal training in digital media with proof of structured learning and development in social media.

This is an exciting time to join our marketing department as we increase the team to implement our ambitious marketing strategy.  We are looking for a marketing assistant to join the team and help us in the successful running of campaigns and promotions.

- Attend marketing meetings and contribute to the development of campaigns and promotions.
- Assume responsibility for implementing promotions including liaising with our shops, suppliers and other external organisations.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure that promotions are both efficient and effective.
- Create social media posts, update them and respond to engagements and comments.
- Look for social media opportunities and react to them.
- Be guided by KPIs and other analytics to review performance and change approaches.

To be successful in this role you will be an organised person and have had training in marketing or social media.  It is necessary to have some experience working in a similar position.  You will need to have knowledge of our products and being a musician would give you a definite advantage.

The Position:

The person we are seeking has sales experience and a passion for music technology. You will have the ability to drive musical instrument sales as an outstanding product demonstrator, offer excellent customer service, work with store team members and have an appetite to proactively sell. The individual we are looking for will have the ability to become an accomplished sales person managing a broad range of the Roland and Boss business within the Roland Store, offering excellent product knowledge and promote both Roland and the store via traditional and digital marketing methods.

The person will be the sole Roland representative in the store and will therefore be involved in every aspect of running a successful retail business.

Key Duties:

  • Dealing with a large cross section of customer enquiries
  • Demonstrating and selling Roland, Boss & V-Moda products
  • Following up sales leads & conducting outbound sales calls
  • Offering post sales & technical support for customers of the Roland Store
  • Managing and maintaining the Roland & Boss areas
  • Creating marketing campaigns for local and online audiences via traditional and digital methods including social media
  • Completing reports
  • Train and work closely with other store staff to maximise Roland & Boss sales
  • Run promotional events throughout the year

Key Attributes & Experience

  • Experience in a sales role
  • Punctual & reliable
  • Excellent communicator both on the telephone and face to face
  • To have a strong interest and understanding of Hi-tech products
  • Must be proficient in two of the following
    - Piano/Keyboard
    - Drums
    - Guitar
    - Recording/Production equipment (computer based recording)
