Job Opportunity- Warehouse- East Kilbride

GUITARGUITAR are looking for a member of staff to join our despatch and logistics team in the company’s Warehouse in East Kilbride.

The role is centred around fulfilling orders from our industry-leading website, shipping internal transfers to our six store locations, managing the Warehouse’s stock and taking deliveries, checking off and booking onto our system everything from a single box to a 40ft shipping container.

Essential to this role is the ability to be self-motivated, capable of working independently or as part of a small team, enterprising and responsive to instruction and feedback.

Candidates should be physically capable of handling heavy goods, checking off and booking- in deliveries and arranging the Warehouse in a clear and logical fashion, under the supervision of our Warehouse Manager.

Applicants should have an eye for detail and an awareness of essential business practices, such as stock inventories, fulfilment of orders and sales, goods in/out, problem solving and stock management.

he candidate must have excellent communication skills and will be expected to liaise locally and nationally with colleagues, managers and directors, as well as externally with customers, suppliers and business partners.

The successful candidate must also show aptitude in both numeracy and literacy. Computer literacy is essential due to the numerous in-house systems that are required for the role. A Fork-lift Driver’s Licence would be extremely beneficial but not considered essential at this stage as all training will be provided as necessary.

The successful applicant must be flexible, and will be required to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rotational basis.

The role reports to our Warehouse Manager.

Job Description - Digital/Pro-Audio Sales Staff Glasgow (Full-Time)

Location: Glasgow, UK

This is the perfect opportunity for any enthusiastic salesperson to become part of the GUITARGUITAR family. In doing so, you will become a key member of our Digital/Pro-Audio team, assisting with all aspects of our customers' experience. Fundamental to this role is an ability to sell and demonstrate product knowledge to our existing and new customers. You will be working directly under the supervision of our Sales Manager.

A successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have previous experience within the Music Retail sector.
  • Have a good understanding of digital/pro-audio equipment including music production equipment, Live Sound and lighting, keyboards, pianos and electronic drums.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate products to a good standard. A multi-instrumentalist with a keyboard bias would be ideal.
  • Be confident dealing with customers face-to-face, on the telephone, email, and via social media.
  • Be willing to learn new products as and when they are released in order to keep up with an ever evolving market.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate in any product areas that are required.
