1) Guitar Sales Staff (Full-Time) - Newcastle

OVERVIEW
Location: Newcastle, UK

This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic salesperson to become part of the GUITARGUITAR family. In doing so, you will become a key member of our guitar team, assisting with all aspects of our customers' experience. Fundamental to this role is an ability to sell and demonstrate product knowledge to our existing and new customers. You will be working directly under the supervision of our Store Manager.

A successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have previous experience within the Music Retail sector.
  • Have a good understanding of guitars and guitar related equipment
  • Have the ability to demonstrate products to a good standard.
  • Be confident dealing with customers face-to-face, on the telephone, email, and via social media.
  • Be willing to learn new products as and when they are released in order to keep up with an ever evolving market.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate in any product areas that are required.

2) Digital/Pro-Audio Department Manager (Full-Time) - Epsom

OVERVIEW
Location: Epsom, UK

This is the perfect opportunity for any enthusiastic manager to become part of the GUITARGUITAR family. In doing so, you will become a member of our Epsom Digital team, assisting with all aspects of our customers' experience. Within this role you will work under the store General Manager.

The role for a department manager will include the following:

Selling

Engaging digital customers in a commercially wise way to aid the success of the department. A successful candidate will:

  • Have a passion for sales, digital musical equipment and retail.
  • Love everything music related.
  • Have a good understanding of the following:
    • Home & Studio Recording
    • Digital Pianos
    • Digital Drums
    • Synths and Keyboards
    • Live Sound
    • DJ Equipment

Sales Management

  • Inspire, motivate and assist Digital sales staff to maximise their sales performance and reach personal and Digital store targets.
  • Monitor sales performance for individuals and the Digital store as well as providing helpful feedback and suggestions.
  • Ensure that a high standard of customer service is provided pre and post digital sale.
  • Assist in the development of Digital department rotas to ensure the most appropriate scheduling of staff.

Visual Displays and Promotions

  • Help to create a vibrant, exciting, visually attractive and commercially wise Digital store environment.
  • Monitor the performance of different digital product areas, sales and performance.
  • Maximise the success of company and instore promotions.
  • Monitor the display standards of the Window displays and make recommendations.

Stock Management

  • Assist the Store General Manager to manage digital stock levels and the flow of stock in the store.
  • Assist the Store General Manager to make sure that the working procedures and practices in the stockroom are according to stated procedures and represent ‘best practice’.
  • Liaise closely with the Stockroom Manager.

Administration

  • Ensure that all company administration procedures and practices are implemented.

General

  • Open and close the Store as required.
  • Contribute to the daily/weekly management meetings.
  • Support and assist all of your store colleagues.

Experience:

  • Management: 1 year (Preferred)

In doing so, you will become a key member of our Digital/Pro-Audio team, assisting with all aspects of our customers' experience. Fundamental to this role is an ability to sell and demonstrate product knowledge to our existing and new customers. You will be working directly under the supervision of our Sales Manager.

A successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have previous experience within the Music Retail sector.
  • Have a good understanding of digital/pro-audio equipment including music production equipment,PA, keyboards, pianos and electronic drums.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate products to a good standard. A multi-instrumentalist with a keyboard bias would be ideal.
  • Be confident dealing with customers face-to-face, on the telephone, email, and via social media.
  • Be willing to learn new products as and when they are released in order to keep up with an ever evolving market.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate in any product areas that are required.
