Social Media Specialist - Linwood (Full-Time)

Location: Linwood HQ, Renfrewshire

About the Role:

As a part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced social media specialist to join our marketing team. This role has two main objectives; to expand on our activities and to improve our performance.

The Key Elements Of The Job Are:

  • Develop an integrated social media strategy.
  • Personally lead the implementation of this strategy and its ongoing activity.
  • Review and renew our current ways of working and identify process and practices that will give us better results.
  • Create and implement social media campaigns.
  • Establish clear KPIs and set ambitious goals for the social media function.
  • Measure the success of campaigns and identify learning points.
  • Stay up-to-date with all social media practices and technologies and constantly review our approach and use of tools.
  • Collaborate with others in the team and make all campaigns a successful team effort.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and other external organisations.
  • Contribute to the wider marketing activities of the business.


The successful candidate is likely to have at least three years relevant experience in a similar role and have a good understanding of the products we sell.  You will have had some formal training in digital media with proof of structured learning and development in social media. If you have a ‘hands-on’ approach, excellent communication skills and you meet the criteria noted above, we would like to hear from you.

Marketing & Social Media Assistant - Linwood (Full-Time)

About the Role:

This is an exciting time to join our marketing department as we increase the team to implement our ambitious marketing strategy.  We are looking for a marketing assistant to join the team and help us in the successful running of campaigns and promotions.

The Key Elements Of The Job Are:

  • Attend marketing meetings and contribute to the development of campaigns and promotions.
  • Assume responsibility for implementing promotions including liaising with our shops, suppliers and other external organisations.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure that promotions are both efficient and effective.
  • Create social media posts, update them, and respond to engagements and comments.
  • Look for social media opportunities and react to them.
  • Be guided by KPIs and other analytics to review performance and change approaches.


To be successful in this role you will be an organised person and have had training in marketing or social media.  You will need to have knowledge of our products and being a musician would give you a definite advantage. Experience working in a similar position is not necessary but would be an advantage. Working alongside our experienced in-house team of marketing professionals would be an excellent opportunity to develop and grow your marketing skillset.

Guitar Technician - Linwood Warehouse and HQ (Full-Time)

Location: Linwood Warehouse and HQ, Renfrewshire

About the Role:

You will work within our new Linwood Warehouse and HQ premises inspecting, quality checking, setting up and repairing instruments. You will implement and take pride in the standards guitarguitar expects of the products we supply to our customers and ensure that each instrument you work on is ready to be played and to make music.

We are looking for an technician with experience and confidence in all aspects of fretted instrument repair, including but not limited to; fretwork, finishing, setups to defined specification, pickup replacement and electronics work and structural repair.

You will be handling new instruments delivered from suppliers, customer returns, pre-owned goods and direct import product as part of a small team under the direction and supervision of our Warehouse Manager.

Note: the successful candidate will work initially at our current location in East Kilbride before moving to our new facility in Linwood early in 2022.

Warehouse Operative - Linwood Warehouse and HQ (Full-Time)

Location: Linwood Warehouse and HQ, Renfrewshire

We are looking for a member of staff to join our team in the company’s Warehouse in Linwood. Please note: the initial 3-4 months training and experience in this role will be at our Warehouse in East Kilbride or store in Glasgow city centre. 

About The Role:

This is a role at the hub of our growing online business; picking, packing and shipping online orders direct to our customers, handling deliveries of every size from a single box to a 40ft container, dispatching stock to our six stores nationwide as well as maintaining and managing our vast inventory of stock.  

A Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • significant experience working in a Warehousing, logistics or fulfilment environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • good working knowledge of the types of stock we specialise in
  • good understanding of the fundamentals of safe working practices and Health and Safety


Numeracy and computer literacy is essential due to the use of our in-house stock management and order fulfilment systems that will make up a large part of the role.


A Fork-lift Driver’s Licence would be desirable but not essential as full training and certification will be provided. 

The successful applicant must be flexible, and will be required to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rotational basis.

guitarguitar is looking to add a full-time member of staff to our team in Guitar Guitar Birmingham. As a member of our sales team, you will represent both guitarguitar, the UK’s biggest guitar & pro audio retailer, and the legendary brands and manufacturers we partner with.

Essential to this role is an ability to sell, demonstrate products and excite and inspire the loyal customers who visit our stores and who make our business what it is.  

You will be working directly under the supervision of our Store Management Team.

PPC Executive (Full Time)

Location: Linwood

About the Role

The PPC Executive will execute the paid search strategy in line with KPIs and budget. The role will be responsible for the day to day running of paid campaigns across various digital channels such as Google, Bing and Facebook. This role sits within the marketing department, reporting to the Search Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management and optimisation of paid activity (Search, Shopping, Display and Video)
  • Analyse and report on performance
  • Identify new keyword, audience and targeting opportunities
  • Propose new initiatives and ideas
  • Keep abreast of paid search developments, competitor performance and wider retail industry trends
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure campaigns meet wider business objectives
  • Resolve Merchant Centre disapprovals and warnings
  • Feedback insights to the purchasing team which could help inform purchasing decisions


Experience and Skills

  • At least 1 year experience working on PPC campaigns and delivering against KPIs
  • Understanding of PPC best practices
  • Familiarity with Google shopping, dynamic remarketing and product feeds is beneficial
  • Highly analytical and data driven, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Experience of using tools such as Google Merchant Centre, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads Manger and Google Analytics
  • Budget management with a focus on maximising return
  • A proactive individual that takes ownership of tasks
  • SEO experience would be advantageous, but not essential for this role
