Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy - Our Charity Partner
We are proud to have supported Scotland’s Music Therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins Scotland, for over 20 years. The charity makes the power of music change the lives of over 1100 children and adults every year.
The therapists use music in innovative ways to stimulate, inspire and connect to some of the most isolated people in our communities who are living with challenging health conditions. These include learning disability, autism, dementia, stroke, life-limiting disease, mental health and neurological disorders. With centres in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Fife and soon in Aberdeen, the team of 16 music therapists is always in demand.
Nordoff Robbins Scotland provides music therapy in special schools, nurseries, hospices and hospitals but receives no statutory funding. It relies on the generosity of its supporters, most of whom are in the music industry, musicians or simply love music.
