What we say:

At A Glance:

The PRS SE Starla Stoptail Antique White delivers all the features you have come to expect from a Paul Reed Smith guitar in a stripped back package.

Acting as a high-performance tool, the Starla is a trusted companion found on stages and studios worldwide. Loaded with PRS DS-02 pickups, the Starla outputs a bright and spanky tone with all the humbucking pickup benefits. The Wide Fat neck offers a hand-filling comfort that some players crave.

With a tasteful Antique White finish, the Starla is a tidy instrument that will look the part in most applications. The bridge has been upgraded to a two-piece Grover tailpiece. The Grover tailpiece gives you a tightly packed system designed to prevent unwanted noise and transmit energy to the body effectively.

Overall, the Starla gives you trusted PRS construction without any flash.

Features We Love:

Classic Tonewoods

Lying beneath the bold Black finish lies a solid mahogany body. Releasing a tight bass response and pronounced upper midrange, the mahogany body and neck work in unison with the DS-02 pickups to achieve the Starla’s unique voice. The body has been ergonomically carved into a comfy surface that will bring you intimately close to the instrument.

Wide Fat Neck

The Wide Fat neck is ideal for players looking for a little more wood to fill the hand. The neck is where the largest portion of the playability of the guitar is decided. PRS have thought meticulously about the shape and feel of the necks they offer. The Wide Fat neck caters for the player that wants a modern instrument with a vintage vibe.

Coil Split

The push/pull coil split is located within the tone control. The added function allows you to split both humbuckers resulting in six different tonal possibilities. If you are looking for an instrument that sounds good in almost any musical scenario, this wiring mod should be a welcome sight. Not compromising tone, the pickups have been crafted for optimum sound in both standard and split positions.

  • Wide Fat neck for a vintage feel
  • DS-02 pickups give a bright humbucker sound
  • Ergonomic contours for a comfy fitting instrument
