Gorgeous tone.fun to play

Ian D. - 11/7/2021

For the price, the Jim Dandy is great but straight off the peg, the action at the 12th fret was 2mm, which is at the high end of acceptable, in my opinion, but easily rectified. On very close inspection, there was a small gap at the back corner of the bridge. I don't think that this will be a problem but I will keep an eye on it. At the end of the day, it is a great sounding inexpensive blues machine that I just connected with when I picked it up. It's fun.

Bought to play delta blues, needed a small boxy sound. Really great value for the money.

Andy L. - 17/6/2020

I thought the Jim Dandy was brilliant for the money. I?ve been playing for 50years so I had no false expectations but it sounds better than I expected and like it?s supposed to! Wish guitars like this had been around, at an equivalent price, when I started playing. It will not compete with my Blueridge, and it?s in no way supposed to, but it sits happily in DADGAD tuning (mainly) ready to pick up for some noodling. A bit of silicon grease on the tuners and lemon oil on the fingerboard ( neither essential) help things along. Early experience is that it stays in tune very well. It?s fun, and I like it.
