What we say:

At A Glance

You might think that this guitar looks familiar - well that would be because the Hummingbird has been favoured by many guitarists for a number of decades. It has been the acoustic of choice for the likes of Keith Richards, Noel Gallagher, Sheryl Crow and even Kid Rock. Given the names listed, you can see that it is a perfect choice for a number of styles. The Epiphone Hummingbird Pro adds some modern touches to this classic, mainly the addition of the active pickup system featuring an on-board EQ. If you turn up at a venue to play a show and they have no microphone for your guitar then no problem - just plug in and you are ready to play.

Features We Love:

Slim Taper D Neck Profile

A guitar is made to be played but sometimes the length of time you can play for is determined by how it feels. Luckily, comfort and practicality meet here to give you the best of both worlds. The Slim Taper D profile is easy to navigate around and lends itself well to those long sessions or performances.

Shadow NanoFlex Pickup System

Although this guitar already sounds great acoustically, it has the added benefit of a pickup system. The on-board preamp features controls for treble and bass, allowing you to adjust the tone to the application at hand. It also has a master volume pot, a mute switch and a phase switch. The dynamics slider gives you another degree of flexibility so whatever your tonal preference is, you have the controls at hand to achieve it.

Spruce and Mahogany

The top is solid spruce giving a bright and full tone. Spruce is a wood that sounds even better with age so the more you play it, the greater it will become. Mahogany is used for the body and neck. When paired with the spruce top, the result is a well constructed guitar that produces a big and inviting sound.

Pros:

  • Perfect for the touring/performing musician
  • Extra versatile due to the pickup system
  • Classic looks at an affordable price
