What we say:
Fender's Deluxe Nashville Telecaster bridges the gap somewhat between their two most famous models.Despite it's name, you don't have to be into country music to love this guitar: it's flat 12" radius fretboard, host of additional tones and locking tuners set this Telecaster up as one that any rock, indie, experimental, pop or whatever else player could really make use of effectively.
The pickup layout is basically normal telecaster wit an added Stratocaster single coil in the middle with a five way selector to get the expected variety of selections. You'll get 'in-between quack' in positions two and four which, if you turn your volume back a touch and play clean, will get you straight into Nile Rodgers territory. Picture that on top of all the classic Telecaster sounds you get already and you can begin to see the possibilities. This two tone burst is nicely retro, especially when you consider the added black pickguard. This is a great package for modern alternative players as well as staunchly traditional guitarists.
