What we say:
Godin’s instantly recognisable Multiac is a perfect marriage of classical nylon string sound with solid body functionality. Built with performing musicians in mind, the Multiac Nylon Encore SG is designed to be as comfortable to play as one of Godin’s electric guitars with a body design that virtually eliminates feedback.
Construction begins with a Silver Leaf Maple body that’s carefully chambered for resonance and weight relief. This is topped with a solid slice of Cedar for a sweet and expressive tone. This is finished in a beautiful and elegant shade they call Burnt Umber.
The neck is made from mahogany and is topped with a rosewood fretboard with a 16”radius, flat enough for classical styles as well as more general playing.
In terms of electronics, the rich nylon sound is captured by a combination of individual transducers located under the bridge saddles and an acoustic soundboard transducer. These separate sound sources can be blended to taste to allow you the optimum mix between the sharp under-saddle tone and the warmer but less focussed body sound. Between both, you will gain perfection.
