Fender’s Player Series is a fresh update of their most beloved models for today’s contemporary musician. The Player Series replaces the Mexican Standard Series and brings with it a host of exciting new features.
Each Player Series guitar features revised body shapes (bringing them in line with the bodies of vintage instruments) new colours, a newly designed neck carve and upgraded pickups. Whatever style you play, you’ll be sure to find a favourite amongst the raft of new models available.
The Jaguar Bass takes its shape, as the name would suggest, from Fender’s iconoclastic offset electric guitar, the Jaguar. This body style works well as a bass, feeling substantial and comfortable at the same time.
As with the other basses in the Player Series, the Player Jaguar Bass gets a modern feeling C-shaped neck with a 9.5” radius fingerboard. This proves to be a very playable combination and should happily suit players of all styles.
Fender have given the Jaguar Bass the versatile ‘PJ’ pickup configuration. This means there is one pickup each from the Precision bass and the Jazz bass, allowing access to a very versatile selection of sounds! A separate volume knob for each pickup lets you balance how much of each you get. Finesse and power combine of here to give you a bass design that delivers the best of both worlds.
