What we say:

At A Glance:

Fender’s Player Series is a fresh update of their most beloved models for today’s contemporary musician. The Player Series replaces the Mexican Standard Series and brings with it a host of exciting new features.
Each Player Series guitar features revised body shapes (bringing them in line with vintage bodies) new colours, a newly designed neck carve and upgraded pickups. Whatever style you play, you’ll be sure to find a favourite amongst the raft of new models available.

Fender’s Precision bass is perhaps the single most significant bass design in history. It all started here! This model, therefore, is a cornerstone of the Player series.

Features We Love:

Alnico 5 Magnets

Slightly hotter than Vintage outputs, this design from Fender gives a little extra tone and warmth. This is suited well for the modern style player. While still able to achieve a retro tone if needed, simply just by adjusting the volume back to your preferred amount.

Modern C Neck Shape

The neck profile is up to modern day standards with 9.5” radius Pau Ferro fingerboard. Great dimensions which will please various players from a range of musical backgrounds. A standard scale length of 34” and 20 Medium Jumbo frets all keep things on familiar ground, too.

Improved Standard Model

This Fender Player Series has been slightly improved over the previous Mexican standard models. Noticeable in the Pickups, as the sound quality is fantastic with superior tone, which is expected from a Precision bass.

Who Is It For?

A Player who is looking for a high quality bass that can be used to play every musical style out there.

Highlights:

  • Hot Alnico 5 Magnets
  • Comfortable C Neck Profile
  • Improved sound and tone
  • Great build quality

Excellent bass guitar as expected.

David T. - 13/1/2022

Exaxtly what I would hope form this product.

Greg W. - 14/11/2021

Great sounding bass and very versatile.

Stuart M. - 11/6/2021

Great sound, fantastic neck makes playing so easy and smooth.

Aled W. - 18/5/2021

Great sounding bass. Build quality is definitely lower than US instruments but this is reflected in the price. Excellent value for money

Gordon M. - 7/11/2020

Plays great, classic p-bass sound.

Chas L. - 18/9/2020

Really excellent bass guitar. The build quality is really good, the finish is flawless, and the bass is set up very well. Very resonant acoustically even with flatwounds. The neck is 'modern', a tad too skinny for my liking but I play double bass and am particular about necks. I tried the 50s reissue bass but the difference in necks was minimal and - to me- didn't warrant the higher price. I got used to it very quickly, no hand fatigue or cramping. Happy camper (and I hate camping!).
