What we say:

The Streamliner range is a collection of ultra-affordable Gretsch models that don’t hold back on all the amazing details and styling that make Gretsch such a mesmerising brand! These guitars have specially designed pickups, fully ‘Gretsch’ block fingerboard inlays, cool finishes and a very easy playability to ensure they end up in the hands of gigging players everywhere.

This Streamliner model is the excellent G2420. It’s a single cutaway hollowbody with plenty of style.

This is one good looking guitar: a fantastic trapeze tailpiece sits alongside some serious-looking Broad’Tron pickups, Hump Block inlays and a fantastic Aged Brooklyn Burst finish. Gretsch guitars are as famous for their looks as they are for their sounds and this model does not let the team down!

The Broad’Tron pickups on here are a real success: these humbucking units bring width and depth to your sound whilst still retaining the all-important twang that makes Gretsch guitars sound distinct from other brands.

We love how playable the Streamliner range is in general: 12” radius fingerboards make playing easier and the slightly shorter scale length enhances this.

This guitar is an excellent choice for any player seeking a semi with a cool look, tons of attitude and addictive playability.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.5 (2 reviews)

Superb playability guitar, although pickups seem to have built in distortion when using overdrive, so am in process of changing with my favorite Vintage Golden parsons from stewmac, which are pure natural sound without trying to Impose anything, we can all control that with our effects, rather than the pickups dictating their slant, which is too muffled/messy, ok clean, but using overdrive, just not good enough, this is a good guitar and the stewmacs will let it Breathe.
