What we say:

At A Glance:

The Taylor Academy 12e is a fantastic acoustic guitar, designed to be comfortable and very easy to play. It features high quality yet affordable materials, making it great value for money.

Features We Love:

Comfortable, Beveled Armrest

The guitar has a beveled armrest for added comfort. This feature is usually reserved for the absolute top-end Taylor guitars. It’s a refreshing and bold move to include them on such an affordable model!

Quality, Affordable Materials

The 12e is made with a solid Sitka Spruce soundboard and a West African Crelicam Ebony fingerboard. Taylor have ensured that the most important elements to playing - sound, feel and comfort - are the number one priority. It's impressive to see Taylor maintain this level of quality while being affordable, Sitka spruce and Ebony is the same timber used throughout their range all the way up to the top.

ES-B 1.2 Pickup System

The custom ES-B pickup system has been designed to transparently capture the natural tone of the guitar, plus gives you 3-Band EQ controls to fine-tune your tone and features a built-in chromatic tuner, so you're ready to stay in tune without needing to carry extra equipment with you.

Who Is It For?

Those looking for a quality acoustic at an affordable price. The smaller size makes it great for lighter playing styles that require more detail, combined with the arm contour it's great for those long songwriting sessions. This would be an excellent workhorse guitar for any musician, new or experienced.

Highlights:

  • Comfortable to play thanks to beveled armrest
  • Great value for money
  • Very easy to play, with a slightly shorter than average scale length
