Rudy Pensa’s first experience as a guitar builder was actually an experiment when, at the age of thirteen, he attempted to build a 12-string guitar using the broken necks of two 6-string guitars. In 1974, on his first visit to New York, Rudy went directly from JFK airport with suitcase in tow to the world-renowned shrine of musical instruments…48th Street.
Rudy long dreamed of visiting this place where musicians congregated to buy, sell, browse and dream. You might even have run into one or more of your idols there.

This item was appraised as follows:
Body: 4 out of 5 - Item shows some mild and/or minor signs of use such as superficial swirling or hazing to the finish. There are no substantial dings, dents or scuffs which break the finish
Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.
Additional Information: This guitar is in used but generally great condition for a guitar of this age. There are various dings and scratches associated with typical play wear. There is tarnishing to the hardware throughout, where the gold has turned slightly silver.
The frets are in great condition for the guitars ages, with only slight fret wear. There are some chips around the edge of the fretboard, mainly on the treble side. Neck has been refinished.

This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
