What we say:
At A Glance
Say hello to the newest member of the Taylor family, the Taylor GTe Urban Ash/Spruce. This is a brand new design that has many fresh features that are being used by Taylor for the first time and it has us very excited! Andy Powers, the mastermind at Taylor behind many of their new designs, focused on combining two things - comfort and tone. Having been made in Taylor's factory in California and featuring a solid spruce top with solid urban ash back and sides, this is certainly great quality. The introduction of a new bracing pattern, compact body size with a slightly shorter scale and new woods all contribute to the excellent tone, feel and performance of this guitar. With the addition of the ES2 electronics, you can perform in almost any scenario.
Features We Love:
C-Class Bracing
The C-Class bracing gets its name from the cantilevered design. This bracing pattern not only offers great stability but also allows for an incredibly full sound, especially in the lower frequencies. Something you wouldn't expect from its smaller size!
Eucalyptus Fingerboard
Eucalyptus is a new fingerboard choice and we are already keen to see more of it! With some similar characteristics to ebony, it is a reliable choice that pairs well with the other woods. The bridge is also made of eucalyptus which completes the classic look.
Grand Theater Size
We have a feeling that this new body size is going to be an instant favourite of many. Fitting between a GC and GS Mini, the GT borrows the curves of the Grand Orchestra but in a scaled down form. It has a 24-1/8” scale length which adds to the overall comfort and playability of the guitar. Don't let its size fool you though - it is more than capable of filling a room with its rich sound!
Highlights:
- An exciting new design from Taylor
- Made from attractive solid woods
- An easy to play, compact size full of big tones
- ES2 is great for performing and recording
