What we say:

Since 1976, Schecter guitars have carved a unique and highly revered path through the world of original guitar design. No mere copyists, Schecter are known for some truly outlandish designs but are equally well known for their high quality control and rock 'n' roll attitude. For those players who are a little wearied with the usual models on offer, dive into the world of Schecter guitars and discover a treasure trove of original thinking mixed with some of the best hardware and construction available. Their designs fit every pocket, too: A-list rock stare go out on stage with these guitars and so can you.

Gonzo shredder Keith Merrow has delighted fans of his Youtube channel for years an now he gets to step up and enjoy his own signature Schecter. Made with Swamp Ash and with a neck that bears 24 stainless steel frets and a 12-16" compound radius fretboard, Keith has a lot of taste and good judgement in discerning what makes a great guitar! This model has a moody and sensational Black Burst finish over a figured maple top.

Being that his day job is with Seymour Duncan, Keith has selected a pair of high-output models from their newer range: a Nazgul in the bridge and a Sentient at the neck. This is a popular combination with modern technical players: these are full of tone, aggression and a some helpful compression to smooth out your legato passages and tapping frenzies. Even though these are super heavy, they retain a level of articulation that's impressive.

This is a high quality guitar that can be effectively used in all manner of styles and genres. It really lets rip when you turn up the gain though: give it a shot!

We'll leave the final words to Keith himself: "I really do prefer the KM7 over just about anything because it's exactly what I want in a guitar." Amen.
