One of Fender Japan’s earliest offerings and one of the first ‘Standard’ Stratocaster models to leave the factory following the JV and reissue models. By 1985 Fender aimed to fuse already classic Stratocaster design elements with modern appointments for optimised playability. This new run was named the 'Contemporary' series, offering a vintage style Stratocaster with modern fixings, including roller string trees and factory Gotoh tuners. The result is a wonderfully playing, striking Stratocaster that embodies the craftsmanship rightly associated with 80s Japanese Fender guitars.
