At Catalinbread we got to thinking, "Let's make it simple! Why not design a pedal that pairs an always on treble booster with a so called 'amp-in-a-box'?" As a result there would be no need to mess around with balancing the tone-stacks, cranking amplifiers to ear-splitting volumes, or dealing with finicky treble boosters to get it just right. You just plug the pedal into any cleanish amplifier, plug the guitar in and melt faces. Thus was born the Galileo and Sabbra Cadabra. We're super happy with the way these pedals turned out and ready to get them in the hands of musicians!
There is something very special about a treble-booster hitting a Vox AC30. The midrange gets super throaty with an amazing harmonic swirl. Back the guitar volume down and that iconic Vox jangle gets magnified - it can sound angry and aggressive, yet chime-y and beautiful at the same time. It’s a complex harmonically laden tone that is very compelling to play. And the new Galileo gives you exactly that response!!
