What we say:
At A Glance:
This Martin D-15ML dreadnought acoustic guitar delivers classic Martin quality and volume, with the added warmth of mahogany. The depression-era 15 range has long been a favourite for players looking for authentic Martin feel and tone but with a slight twist away from the standard Spruce and Rosewood combination. The solid Mahogany top, back and sides give a mildly darker, smoother tone which is still lively and expressive. The 15 range is stripped for simplicity with a satin finish and no binding. Otherwise, it's classic Martin all the way.
With the 15 series, it isn't even about 'cheaper': these guitars have a vibe and attitude all of their own and many players prefer these models specifically, regardless of cost. A solid mahogany dreadnought is a thing to experience! Make sure you include a Martin 15 in your shortlist of guitars to demo next time you're in one of our stores researching the next addition to your guitar family.
Features We Love:
Dreadnought Body Shape
Martin's Dreadnought body creates a rich tone with plenty of depth, clarity and character. The larger body also makes it great for strumming, giving a consistent volume and even tone without impacting your dynamic range.
Modified Low Oval Neck Shape
This neck shape is suited to those with smaller hands or who prefer a slimmer neck. With this model, you'll be able to play for hours on end without hand pain getting in your way.
Tonewood
The use of mahogany for the body construction gives this model a slightly darker, smooth tone, but still holds on to it's expression. Aside from how it sounds, the mahogany looks great! This guitar delivers sonically and visually.
Who Is It For?
The left handed player looking for a Dreadnought with a unique tone, this all Mahogany Martin delivers premier performance.
Highlights:
- Dreadnought body shape is great for projection and volume
- Neck profile sits comfortably in your fretting hand for hours of playing time
- Mahogany body gives unique tones
