LR Baggs are undoubtedly one of the giants in pickup technology. A huge percentage of quality guitars are fitted with LR Baggs pickups and preamp systems, earning the brand a reputation as one of the best and most natural sounding live acoustic solutions on the market.
But what of the person behind the brand? Who is Lloyd Baggs? What is his background, and how did he come to be one of the most innovative pickup/preamps designers in the world?
I decided to find out, and to let him tell us himself! I enjoyed a very stimulating conversation with Lloyd over Zoom recently, and learned tons about his approach, attitude and overall modus operandi.
