What we say:

Squier’s Affinity Series takes the greatest models from Fender’s historic past and releases them as ultra-affordable models for beginners, students and players on a budget. The quality of parts and workmanship of these Squiers just keep improving, making a Squier Affinity guitar a smart investment for any player.

Leo Fender certainly got it right all those years ago when he gave the world the Telecaster: he hit the nail on the head first time, so much so that nothing on note has changed since!

This amazingly affordable model from Squier's Affinity range displays much of what makes the Telecaster such an enduring classic: the single-cutaway slab body, two single coil pickups with a three-way switch and a Maple neck with the correct headstock design. It's a classic all the way and this version plays well and sounds excellent for the money. Whatever stage of playing you are at, you will not be let down by the Squier Affinity Telecaster, shown here in Two Tone Sunburst.

I bought this purely to set up for slide (as a project), as I didn't want to alter the action on any of 'my pretties'. What I received was far more of a serious machine than I expected, great build, great feel and great sound - but more importantly great fun, after 4 weeks i still haven't got round to the set up. I just wish I had one of these when I was 14

This is a great, little guitar. With the right amp it sings with a great voice. I can't imagine how much better it will sound with better pickups. The frets are a little bit sharp at the edges but that's an easy fix that I already planned as soon as I tried it in the shop. I love the satin neck and like it way better than the traditional, thick varnish. The body is a little bit thinner than some of the original tellies but it's on par with the more modern models. The controls are not very smooth and ever so slightly wobbly, yet that's not a problem that could make me put down this model. For L175 this is a great guitar. And this has only started. After a few simple modifications this will compete with much more expensive guitars.
