What we say:

Acoustic guitarists looking for an easy solution for live performance will love this soundhole pickup from maestros Seymour Duncan!

The Woody range has been around for a while and built up quite a following. The whole idea with the Woody is that it’s an instant mount: you simply slide in into your guitar’s soundhole under the strings where it will happily nestle for the duration of your performance. A fitted cable connects directly with your amp, pedals or PA system.

Some people have them permanently fitted but the idea is for you to use it when you need it: some guitarists don’t like their acoustic guitars to have control panels and that type of thing fitted so this is a great call for them.

This Woody is the hum-cancelling version and has a sound that is a little bigger and more compressed sounding than the single coil Woody. It also has height-adjustable pole pieces to let you get the best balance of response from string to string.

Each Woody is available in a range of wood types to better suit the look of your guitar. This Woody is available here in Maple.

Specification

The Woody XL pickup will fit nearly any acoustic guitar's soundhole, with a radius range from 3.85 inches to 4.10 inches. It's also priced to fit the budgets of most musicians, and is a much more affordable alternative to buying a mic for acoustic amplification.

A very good pr

This does what it says on the tin it provides a pick up for your guitar is very easy to install and use and provides reasonable sound quality however the adjustable pick ups are difficult to adjust because the finish seems to have been applied over them and the lack of any volume control means you cant turn it up or down.
