Classic Looks
The AM53 has been constructed using sapele which is bound on both the front and back. A 'flat' finish (matte & textured by the wood grain) gives this stripped back guitar a really cool vibe. This is echoed by the open coil pickups and singular volume and tone controls.
Pickups
These open coil pickups are ceramic Infinity units, the same as you'd find on an RG model which is a real shredders guitar! These are much hotter pickups than you'd maybe expect to find on a semi-hollow guitar and can do smooth soft tones or push some heavy gain! Due to the construction of the body you can run into some problems with high gain but you may be surprised just how 'rock' this guitar can sound!
