What we say:
Art & Lutherie’s excellent guitars are made by hand up in Robert Godin’s La Patrie, Quebec facility and are styled more towards the modern folk/alt country market. This guitar is from their Legacy range and is a very attractive cutaway Concert 12 string model with real vibe and style.
Made with a solid spruce top (which is pressure-tested in the factory), Wild Cherry 3-ply laminate back & sides and a Silver Leaf Maple neck, this model, hand-crafted in Canada with 95% Canadian Woods, has a bright, lively sound with some percussive overtones and a warm centre. It's a great strummer with a good focussed sound. The great Bourbon Burst finish is a thin skin finish to allow movement and ‘breathing’ for the wood. This cool looking finish is set off nicely with some white binding and a bold white pickguard for a handsome, stage-ready look.
And straight on stage it can go with the Godin-design Q1T built-in pickup and preamp with built in tuner! Vintage looking open gear tuner complete the rustic look. This is an excellent choice for busy gigging players looking for a high quality 12 string at a very agreeable price and with a valuable heritage and provenance.
