What we say:

At A Glance:

The Road Series from Martin is perfect for the value-conscious player searching for a full sized, solid wood acoustic with the known and trusted Martin tone that has shaped multiple generations of music!

All models in this series include a High-Performance neck taper for increased comfort as well as satin and gloss finish options and a variety of tonewood combinations.

One of the most notable features of this series is the onboard Fishman MX-T pickup system with built in soundhole tuner allowing you to amplify and tune whenever you need.

Features We Love:

Dreadnought Body Shape

Martin's Dreadnought body creates a rich tone with plenty of depth, clarity and character. The larger body also makes it great for strumming, giving a consistent volume and even tone without impacting your dynamic range.

X-Brace

Martin's X-Brace system dates back almost 200 years, designed to present the perfect balance between reliability and optimised tonal quality, in a guitar that will last a lifetime. The X-Brace design supports the guitar's soundboard without negatively impacting the guitars natural resonance and character.

Pros:

  • Dreadnought body shape is great for projection and volume
  • Martin's X-Brace gives balance between reliability and tonal quality

What's Included:

  • Martin D-10E
  • Gig Bag

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4.9/5 (21 reviews)

Awesome guitar for the money! All wood for just under £1k and it has that Martin sound! Can't recommend it enough, had it for two weeks now and can't put it down. Played great straight from the shop. Built in tuner is awesome and neat how it's hidden away, the E1 pick up produces a good sound for its value, I did find when I recorded with it that I got an awesome tone by recording with it micc'd and with the pick up. Again, a great guitar and one I don't think I'll part with.

The Martin D10E is a full bodied dreadnought. I am a bass player and found my Gibson acoustic did not have enough fingerboard width or fight! The move from 43 to 44 mm may seem small but for playing, it really suits me. The built in tuner is a great feature. The sound is massive and strident. I love it!

Superb guitar in every regard. It is everything you would expect from a Martin whilst remaining (relatively) affordable. It possesses excellent tone and playability whilst also having a quality of construction which is representative of a company with two centuries experience of producing the finest acoustic guitars.

Needed neck adjustment. Otherwise its a great guitar. Very helpful in bringing down the action as needed. Wouldnt go anywhere without going there first.

Joseph C. - 28/5/2022

Exactly what I was looking for.

Chris L. - 26/5/2022

The guitar has a great sound and the build quality was good for a guitar in this price range. However, the set up could have been better , strong action was a bit high. Also there were wood shavings left inside the guitar by the manufacturer which needed removed before playing.

This guitar should be so much more expensive - the sound off it is phenomenal! The unexpected high quality gig bag that it?s shipped in was a welcome bonus too??

Andrew M. - 21/11/2020
