What we say:

At A Glance

This Epiphone SG Standard is the classic that we all know and love. Coming out of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, it gives you everything you would expect from this 1960s inspired model but with some modern additions. A pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbucker pickups are on hand to assist with excellent tonal delivery. Other great features are a Graph Tech nut, a very playable 60s SlimTaper neck profile and Epiphone Deluxe tuners. If you have always wanted an SG then this affordable version of an iconic model is a perfect solution.

Features We Love:

Epiphone Deluxe Tuners

With excellent tuning stability and classic looks these tuners are an excellent choice. An 18:1 ratio provides smooth and accurate tuning and makes for a very player friendly experience.

Alnico Classic PRO Pickups

Created with the traditional Alnico sound in mind, these provide that sound to the player but with a higher output and more modern touch. This allows the classic tone to easily be heard in a studio or live setting. The nickel finish keeps with the traditional look and matches perfectly with the rest of the hardware.

Vintage Cherry Finish

The Vintage Cherry coloured SG is arguably one of the most recognisable models around. Whether you associate it with the likes of Angus Young or Jerry Garcia, many have favoured this timeless look. It also ties in beautifully with the black pickguard and nickel hardware.

Highlights:

  • SG Standard model at an affordable price
  • Classic style and tones
  • Epiphone build quality

Asok M. - 4/2/2023

Quality build and electrics, not sure why anyone would pay the premium price for the Gibson equivalent, really surprised with how good the Epiphone SG is.

Robin M. - 3/12/2022

Charles H. - 5/6/2021

Bought as a backup and for practice as it is pretty much identical to my Gibson SG. . Very good quality guitar and although the Gibson does feel better it costs nearly four times as much. Pretty well set up out the box although most players would adjust to their preferences. Anyone buying one would not be disappointed.
