The AG60Lce is an elegant and versatile left-handed Grand Auditorium offering instant response with lots of projection for strumming and true clarity for fingerstyle. The Grand Auditorium’s narrow waist helps to accentuate trebles while the wide lower bout generates plenty of air volume for bass response, creating a dynamic and broad tonal landscape.

The FS6 forward-shifted bracing pattern allows for a larger soundboard area to heighten vibration, which is aided by a high-quality North American Sitka top and premium components throughout, all working together to deliver an engaging playing experience.

This cutaway model allows for easy access up the neck, and is finished in our flawless Shadowburst and fitted with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze. The StagePro Bronze is a small-footprint side-mounted EQ incorporating the renowned LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup. This is a low-profile unit with a large backlit tuner, volume, bass and treble controls and phase. The battery box is built into the end pin jack compartment for easy access with a simple push to open and change batteries.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 4/5 (1 reviews)

I was looking for a low-mid priced acoustic guitar, and read several positive reviews on the Alvarez Artist Series. I immediately liked the aesthetics of the Alvarez Artist Series AG60Lce Shadowburst. The price was pitched just right, so I went ahead and ordered one. So, without further ado, my ratings: Looks: 9/10. Sound: 8/10. Electronics: 8/10. Body build: 9/10. Neck and fretboard: Ah, well - here we go... The action on the guitar was quite high (as with many acoustic guitars) and for me anyway, it needed adjustment. As a long-time amateur guitar builder, this didn’t present any issue for me – I simply lowered the bridge, reducing the action at the 12th fret by 1.5mm. But not everyone may be able to do this. Then there are the frets. They are pretty even, but the ends are a tad sharper than I would expect on a guitar of this price. Again though, an easy fix for me. The truss rod is very responsive, and setting the neck was a breeze. I also swapped the strings out for a set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky. So, with the action lowered, the frets smoothed, the neck set and the strings changed, the neck bacame... 9/10. And so it was time to play… All I can say is, I can’t put this guitar down. I absolutely love it. It has a certain “something” that is usually only found in guitars 2 or 3 times the price. Make no mistake, this is a great guitar to play. Do I recommend it? Yes, absolutely. I’d say it’s well worth buying this guitar, even if you have to spend some money on a luthier to do some work.
