What we say:

At A Glance

The Furch Yellow Gc-SR Sitka Spruce / Indian Rosewood Left Handed is a gorgeous guitar that is a joy to play. From the first strum you are greeted with a stunning sound that immediately invites you to play more. The Grand Auditorium body shape with cutaway lends itself to basically any playing style, fingerpicked or strummed. The classic pairing of spruce and rosewood has been stepped up here too with their top-grade choices.

The Furch Guitars story began all the way back in the 1970s, in former Czechoslovakia. Musician and metal worker Frantisek Furch, faced with the complete unavailability of high-quality musical instruments in the then-socialist nation, took matters into his own hands. The passion and craft he poured into his art continues to this day with Furch Guitars, where their team of extremely talented luthiers and designers turn out some of the finest instruments we've had our hands on. Built from the finest materials with a host of innovative technologies to boot.

Features We Love:

High Grade Tonewoods

Like all Furch guitars, this fine piece sports some of the finest tonewoods available. An AAA grade Sitka spruce top is paired with exquisite AA grade Indian rosewood back and sides for a recognisable and pleasing tonal combination that lends itself equally well to all styles of music. Not only do you get the stunning looks but the quality of tone certainly benefits from these choice woods too!

Resonance Enhancing Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish

Another of Furch's superb developments is their Resonance Enhancing Satin Finish process. You still get that gorgeous glossy look and excellent protection but unlike many other acoustic guitars with a high-gloss finish, the guitar maintains an incredibly resonant tone!

Furch CNR System

Furch have never been afraid to push the boundaries of technology in their instruments, and the Composite Neck Reinforcement System demonstrates this. This system combines a highly adjustable dual-action truss rod placed inside a carbon fibre casing with a special alloy casting in the neck heel to ensure perfect angle of alignment between the neck and body, and maximum durability of the neck in the face of temperature and humidity changes.

The net result of this is a guitar that plays better and stands up to the trials of gigging and touring better. Also, thanks to the extremely lightweight nature of this system, the guitar's top is minimally impacted by material from the neck join, allowing it to vibrate more freely than a traditionally built neck join.

Who Is It For?

The discerning acoustic player looking for a reliable, top quality, gig-worthy instrument that has a different character to what you'd usually find.

Highlights:

  • Stunning choice of tonewoods throughout
  • Crafted to a very high standard
  • Full of proprietary features
