The Les Paul™ Junior was first introduced in 1954 as an affordable option for students and beginners. In 1958, the body was modified to a double cutaway shape, providing improved access to the entire length of the fretboard. A stripped-down design with no frills and attitude to spare, these guitars may have been conceived as student models, but professional guitarists have long been aware of their considerable charms. The secret is in the onboard controls: wide open, that single Dogear P-90 can snarl like a junkyard dog, but roll the volume back and it will clean up wonderfully and deliver beautiful, clean tones with jangle and chime in abundance. Adjusting your picking hand position can provide even more tonal variety. And, if you think a guitar without a neck pickup won’t sound fat enough, try rolling back the Junior’s tone control for sweet, warm, jazzy tones.

Now, Epiphone is proud to introduce the updated Inspired by Gibson Les Paul Junior Double Cut. It features a slab mahogany double-cutaway body, providing unfettered access to the entire length of the fretboard. The glued-in mahogany neck features a 50s Vintage profile and is fitted with a rosewood fretboard that has 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid dot position markers. The 1960s Kalamazoo headstock is equipped with Epiphone Deluxe tuners featuring ivory buttons and a Graph Tech nut for solid tuning stability and undeniable vintage appeal. The Epiphone logo is inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the 60s-style Kalamazoo headstock. The strings are anchored at the other end with an Epiphone Lightning Bar compensated wraparound bridge that bolts directly into the body for enhanced sustain and resonance. The Epiphone Les Paul Junior Double Cut is powered by a single Epiphone P-90 PRO™ single-coil Dogear pickup, which delivers everything from sweet, sparkling cleans to mean, fiery, distorted tones. The pickup is wired to master volume and tone controls that use high-quality CTS® potentiometers. The Epiphone Les Paul Junior Double Cut is perfect for students and pros, and is now more accessible than ever.

A premium gig bag is also included for easy grab-and-go convenience and safe storage.
