The SamSystems “INTEGRAL” Close Cab Miking System delivers the true, balanced analogue output from a guitar cab or combo’s speaker, via an XLR connector to the mixing desk, monitors and FOH PA, eradicating many of the time consuming and annoying setbacks associated with traditional close cab miking methods. 

The classic ‘microphone on a stand’ format has been the tried and tested formula of miking up a guitar cab or combo for the last 60 plus years. That’s fine, it works, but there are many pitfalls and hurdles that guitar players and sound engineers have to endure in a live or studio environment. 

Traditional methods take time, which is valuable at sound checks and, when the sound engineer is happy with the microphone positioned and aligned within the speaker’s sweet-spot, there’s no guarantee that the microphone will stay in place during the performance, it’s often short lived when the gig starts with a vengeance.

The drooping microphone stand can be a problem, along with the footprint taken up on a small stage, the leads often get caught and move the stand and, unwanted overspill has always been a major hindrance within audio separation whatever the size of the stage or venue. This is all a major headache and unwanted stress for the band’s sound engineer, or indeed, the band on a budget that has to engineer themselves from the stage.

This 10 inch version is made to be fitted to 10 inch speakers.
