Our North Street Edition is a collection of fine Custom Shop built guitars inspired by the much coveted pre-war ‘Golden Era’ classics that were made at the old C.F. Martin factory in North Street, downtown Nazareth during the 1930’s.
The D-35 with its iconic 3-piece back was originally launched in 1965, long after the classic Golden Era period, but our North Street model imagines what this much-loved guitar would have looked like had it been available in the Golden Era.
A dynamic Adirondack Spruce top with Golden-Era style X-Bracing is paired with the classic three-piece 35-style back, made from beautifully figured Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood. The understated top aesthetics are enhanced further with Herringbone top inlay that was commonplace in pre-war Martin guitars.
A modified low-oval neck profile adds modern playability to this Golden Era interpretation of a contemporary classic.
Condition Report

This item was appraised as follows:
Body: 4 out of 5 - Item shows some mild and/or minor signs of use such as superficial swirling or hazing to the finish. There are no substantial dings, dents or scuffs which break the finish
Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.
Additional Information: This guitar has come to us in a
fantastic condition. With the exception of very light surface swirling on the
finish, there are no major marks on the body.
The neck and fretboard
have years of life left, with no damage to the headstock or neck.
This
original strap button has not been inserted yet, which leaves the option of
easily having a pickup installed.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
