Fender Precision Bass is one of the most important instruments in modern music. Designed by Leo Fender in 1951, the Precision Bass (or P Bass) was a design that was not only cutting edge, but functionally perfect. A huge technological upgrade from the upright basses that preceded it, offering far superior portability, ergonomics, increased sustain and an era-defining sound. The Precision Bass is beautiful in it's simplicity. It's silhouette is easily recognisable, it features a solid body, a comfortable maple neck profile, and a single "split single coil" pickup in the bridge position which acts as a humbucker and a solid body.

Condition Report

At guitarguitar, we award our used gear a grade from 1-5 according to its overall condition, with 5 being the best.

This item was appraised as follows:

Body: 3 out of 5 - Instrument has been used and shows evidence of its life in the forms of checking, chips and other superficial wear and tear. Metal parts and hardware may be mildly tarnished or stained and cosmetically imperfect.

Neck: 3 out of 5 - The frets have mild wear and/or pitting and may require profiling or replacement in future if the guitar is played extensively, although this work is not required immediately and the guitar plays and frets cleanly at present.

Additional Information: Shows signs of a previous repair on the back of the headstock by the low E tuner.

This guitar has been restrung with Dunlop Strings
