About DOD Pedals

DOD pedals have a long history - after being founded in 1973 by David Oreste DiFrancesco and John Johnson they began bringing many iconic, eccentric and innovative pedal designs to life. The company has moved through many eras, ownerships and aesthetic directions and even closure, yet there has always been at least one DOD pedal from every era that becomes a classic (and many hidden gems!).

The brand was resurrected in 2013 with a sole focus on analog pedals and a return to the 1970's-style enclosure and aesthetic. This resurrection heralded the return of classic pedals from the 1970s including the 250 Overdrive Preamp and Bifet Boost 410, eccentric pedals from the 1990's such as Gonkulator and Meatbox. Not content to only reissue their iconic designs DOD have also created impressive modern-day classics such as the analog Rubberneck Delay, Carcosa Fuzz and collaborated with other pedal companies such as Shoe Pedals and Black Arts Toneworks to create the Looking Glass overdrive pedal and Boneshaker distortion respectively. DOD's impressively well-rounded lineup has something for any kind of musician and shows a real love and reverence of guitar pedals.
