While all Valentines look like they sport a pair of humbuckers, unless it is specifically a HH model the neck pickup is actually a single coil hiding under a humbucker cover! On the Music Man USA models this is a Music Man custom-wound staggered pole piece single coil, and some even feature a push pull switch on the passive tone control for custom split pickup configurations.
