Takamine give us a quality NEX-bodied model as part of their top of the line Pro Series with this P3NC acoustic guitar. This cutaway electro acoustic has a solid Cedar top and solid Sapele back with laminated Sapele sides. The P3NC gives a full and warm sound full of detail and nuance that lends itself to fingerpicked parts. There is a dimension and sparkle to this model that is very musical! Of course, the solid top and back timbers will vibrate more and improve the more you play it: the sonic depth will continue for years.
Visually the P3NC is an elegantly understated affair: there are nice details like the wooden soundhole rosette, the wooden dot-in-dot inlays and the gold & amber tuners. The guitar has a natural satin finish.
Taking the P3NC on stage? A fantastic CT4B II pickup and preamp system is installed to give you a great live sound, too. This system has a powerful preamp mounted on the shoulder of the guitar which includes a 3-band EQ and an electronic tuner to keep you right at all times!
This guitar is a very good all-rounder and acquits itself admirably well on stage and off.
