What we say:

At A Glance

The CX40II Classical from Yamaha is a well-made yet affordable entry point into their excellent range of classical guitars. Favoured by many beginners, nylon strings can be much softer to learn on but also essential to anyone wanting to get the traditional Spanish style sound. It is not only good for practice though as the build-in preamp means you can plug into an acoustic amp when performing. You might choose to start your classical guitar journey with the CX40II but it is good enough to stay with you as you progress.

Features We Love:

Great Sound

The Yamaha CX40II Classical acoustic guitar has a tone that will have you coming back for more. Not only is this beneficial for performances but is very encouraging when you are learning new musical pieces. It is also very comfortable to play so progress might come quicker than you think!

Pickup System

Fitted with a one-way passive under saddle piezo pickup, it is possible to plug in the CX40II and have the same warm and natural sound for recording or playing live as you do when playing acoustically.

Yamaha Quality

Yamaha have decades of industry experience behind them and their C40 guitar has gone from strength to strength since it was released in the 90's. This version continues with that evolution, keeping the guitar up to date while maintaining the same quality Yamaha is known for.

Who Is It For?

Beginners and classical performers looking for an affordable yet well-playing guitar will love the CX40II.

Highlights:

  • Excellent quality from Yamaha
  • Preamp allows for amplified playing
  • Good for beginners and experienced guitarists
